Tip Top employees were among the first responders to north Georgia Tornado

When a tornado hit the North Georgia suburb of Adairsville at the beginning of February, Tip Top employees were among the first responders. The EF3 tornado packed 160 mph winds, leveled entire buildings, and claimed one life. Tip Top Poultry sent 1000 pounds of diced chicken to the relief effort. Members from the Adairsville Church of God were able to serve more than 1000 volunteers and community members chicken salad sandwiches throughout the weekend. In addition, more than a dozen Tip Top employees and their families worked through the weekend clearing debris and cutting fallen trees. Tip Top shipping manager and Adairsville resident Ramey Hazelwood said, “I’m just proud to work for a company that cares about the community. It means even more now that Tip Top has helped in my hometown.”
